Don't know enough specifics about either of these teams this season to make more than a "gut hunch" prediction:

Brownwood 28-17

I don't think Brownwood has lost that much from last season, and Burnet----while greatly improved and returning to the Burnet of old---has not improved enough this early to take down a perennial power like Brownwood. Later in the season---maybe.

R1....Your job is similar to that of a little league umpire----you volunteer and do the best you can to be unbiased and call em' as you see em', and still get blasted by some of the fans. If you took that umpire's mask off and held it up for anyone in the stands to put on----I'll bet you would get few takers.

I'm happy with any GOTW choices that you put up now or in the future---I'm just glad you and the other region editors are willing to do it for our mutual enjoyment. Dedicated followers of Texas highschool football love the opportunity to discuss games and teams with anyone, anywhere, anytime-----especially the ones that they have never had the opportunity to review. Keep up the good work---I look forward to seeing every game you select each week----no matter who it is.
