National Weather Service projected that Gus could become a Cat. 5 with a line on the upper Texas coast. Other models have it from New Orleans to Belize. Definitely worth a watch.
RUN AWAY!!!!!!!

This one is gonna be a monster by the time it makes landfall. I don't think we'll know where it's going until Sat/Sun.

I am working like a mad-woman making sure everything on my desk is entered - I expect to be "shut off" from writing new or increasing coverage by Weds afternoon. Once it hits the western gulf - we are CUT OFF.

Actually, we'd like to have a 3 horse slant w/ a gooseneck. Eventually that's what we'll end up with...I don't really have a choice really, LOL.

"There goes the gasoline budgets while the Fat Cats have another record year in profits." said the Sinton GodFather with cynicism as he went to the snack bar for a late afternoon cup of coffee.

Do not let this beast sneak up on anybody. It has dropped to a tropical storm but there is a lot of very warm water in the GOM. Upper Texas coast to Corpus should be glued to the news. I am a pragmatist and not an alarmist. Having been slammed hard by Rita was all it took.
