for some reason i had a feeling that the Leps would win by more, but you take what you can and make the best out of it. And the win they got is the only ticket they need right now. Good job.

Sounds like this was one heck of a game. Congratulations Orangefield on a great season. The Panthers here in Liberty were rooting for ya. Just came up a little short. Hopefully we'll see you guys again next year. Again congratulations on a fantastic season. Good luck also to you guys in La Grange

this game is just like i said orangefield doesnt score 20 points or more they would not win this game. their is one thing that i dont understand with the high school coaches whenever they get into the red zone they atleast need to try to come with at least 3 points like in the 1st quarter when orangefield was on the 10 yard line and it was 4th down and 4yards to go you need to try to get some points and they lost by 3 points so that coach let his team down...

This was a great defensive struggle between two equally matched teams. The difference came down to a fieldgoal. Good luck next year to the Bobcats you had a great season and played well.

p.s. what's up with the announcer...what a homer!!!

The announcer, what in the world are you talking about. He was Pasadena ISD announcer. He made one anouncement directed at the LG stands, apparrently because ya'll failed to listen the first time he said no air horns or cow bells or noise making devices would be permitted. And OF had "one player who tried to play dirty"? What's that all about. You people were lucky with a capital L. You had three plays on offense all night. One a roll out right, throw back left, two a halfback pass and three an option right where he had no room, but broke no tackle either and cut back behind the line. A fumble on the eight set up your first Td, which took four plays to score. The halfback pass set up the other. And the run by the qb was set up by a holding on Farias which wasn't called.
There was very little pressure on Modica and the pass would have been on target if not for the hold. Check the tape. The better team is not advancing. And by the way did your crowd get stuck in the Houston taffic. Also is LG tradition to have the team enter while your cheerleaders are being introduced, and your band play your fight song while the other schools cheerleaders are being introduced. If so, tacky, tacky. You do have a good defense, but not the best OF has seen. This post should have not been necessary but your snide comments and failure to present the whole truth and give credit where it is due made it happen.

This post should have not been necessary but your snide comments and failure to present the whole truth and give credit where it is due made it happen. The comment on the announcer came from the way he announced the game...when he announced the OF plays he sounded like a pro announcer wannabe...but when it came to the LG plays it sounded like he was announcing a golf game. We had NO, I repeat NO sound on our side for the longest...it is kind of hard to hear when it sounds like a faint resemblance of the teacher on the Charlie Brown shows. Our team did not know that your cheerleaders were being announced. NO ONE on our side had an air horn!!!!! That was on the OF side! We had probably 4 cow bells on the LG side. Had we been able to hear the announcements we would have NEVER brought them out. #55 is who I am talking about trying to play dirty...he TRIED to get to Anderle and twist his ankle while they were in a pile. And the play that you heard all the noise on the LG side...was when Anderle had gotten tackled and #55 took his fist/forearm and started grinding and pounding the player down (I think that was Anderle)he was a bit frustrated at that point(#55) That is ok...our OL took him down a notch, they pretty much let him know that would not be tolerated. It was a joy to see him get pancaked! Obviously, the better team is advancing...that is why we played the game...to find the BETTER team. I think 17-14 proves it. You don't get a Mulligan in football. There is always one of you on the losing team....sounds like someone has a few sour grapes in their mouth. Now grab your whistle and go find your gym! Is is normal to turn the lights out so soon after the game...just a couple of minutes...and oh yes, the score board getting turned off less than 30 seconds after the game is over...I guess "PasadenaISD" could not bear seeing the score...of which showed LG WON...GO LEPS! The Pasadena ISD employees we saw and talked with were very cordial. Oh, and by the way...we asked the Police on duty if they were really going to "escort" us out if we had cow bells...they said NO, we did put them up (after we finally heard the announcement) The announcer could have been a little less biased.

Jkill and gmcrash yall sound like two babies crying 'cause someone took away your bottle. OF lost because they got outplayed, out coached and out scored so stop with all this nonsense about the better team losing. If a team can't put it away in the final minute and forty seconds from the 9 yardline with the score tied and 1st and goal to go they don't deserve to win. And the announcer was a homer , he did announce a warning during the pregame warm-ups but the PA system was turned down so much we didn't here it or anything else until the teams took the field . Finally, with the clock at 12:00, both teams on the field in the lineup for the breakthrough, it is not time to announce the names of 20 OF cheer-leaders. He could have done that earlier in the pre-game where there was plenty of time. His timing clearly was aimed at derailing the Leps entry on-field. Since when does the cheer leader squad take presidence over the football teams at the start of a game? Get real. And what's up with the commercial announcements when the Leps called a time-out in the 3rd quarter? Whio cares about some Pizza Parlor when the game is on the line? We didn't drive 150 miles pay $10 on the Tollway, a buck to park and 6 bucks to watch a game with commercial announcements! Really poor.

As for dirty play, there were many instances of late hits by OF defenders not called, a flagrant clip on the kickoff after the Lep TD in the 4th, pushing and shoving by one OF tackler, #25, who piled on after the whistle, repeated holding by setbacks to protect Modica from a pass rush the likes of which yall have never faced before, attempts to injure the ankles of our Qb in piles after the whistle, and more, that never got caled by the refs. [BTW,You forgot to mention the first Lep TD came on the short field drive that followed a fumble recovery on the first play after the OF D stop on the 12 on 4th and 2 when our end dropped a pass in the endzone. OF got the ball but couldn't do anything with it. The fumble was caused by a huge hit on the next play. It was good that your D made the initial stop, but don't take away credit for our D getting the ball right back. You can't have it both ways, skill and talent on your team but dumb luck on ours when something goes well. One incident where an OF tackler tried to injure the ankle of our QB in the pile after the play was witnessed by the ref. He diddn't throw the flag, but said "don't let me see you do that again" to the player, wwho continued to try to injure our Qb after the whistle in subsequent plays. No flag! As for holding your Qb while he tries to pass, since when is trying to sack a Qb a penalty? Not even in East Texas is that illegal in football. Go get you basketball and sneakers and stop whinning, it makes yall look like sore losers who don't know how to act in the play-offs.]

You people are pathetic. Good team but pathetic posters. So sorry you were mistreated at the game. You claim you couldn't hear the announcer out of one side of your mouth and that he was biased out of the other. Did you people just get running water or something. OF had no control of the lights, scoreboard or announcer. OF had no control over who enterd or didn't enter the field after. OF has no control over the Pasadena police. The main problem over hear is your persistant whining over things that OF had no control over. #55 played the entire season with no personal fouls. He played the season with class, pride and poise. A great team leader. But poor little classless lg can do nothing but trash him after his last game in high school.

All I am saying is that a holding call was missed that could have cost OF the game. I'm not saying the refs were biased or even bad. But you people cry about the drive over, the stadium PA system, the scoreboard operator, paying a dollar to park, the clock keeper, no 25 second clock, the Pisd officials, the announcer, the field surface, the Pasadena police, the OF "dirty play" and the referees. There has been so much I'm sure I missed one or two. Its easy to see who the cry babies are. And you need to get your posters in line, because at least one has said that OF had the better team.

Hard to imagine them doing otherwise last night. It is easy to look back at the game and do "woulda, coulda, shouldas. In a close game like the one played there are probably a dozen things that could have happened to change the outcome.I understand the frustration of having your team knocked out of the playoffs. But OF had a great year. Come back next year and do better. Just my 2 cents worth as an honorary Leopard fan.

Wow, the idiots are really starting to come out, way to lose with class, dean-r-duke. LG may not have wanted any more of Orangefield, but they walked out with a win, and are playing next week. They know not to listen to anyone telling them they have no chance next week, they have well-diciplined players, and outstading coaches...anything can happen. There are plenty of occasions when the underdog upset the seemingly unbeatable opponent, so I wouldn't count La Grange out just yet. Maybe Orangefield should just start concentrating on basketball...or better yet pole vault in the spring, or have those days of success passed as well?

I thought it was VERY tacky that your football team ran out as the announcer was calling out ONLY our Varsity cheerleaders (not 20 only 9) and to play the song at the end wasn't very classy either... The better team did NOT win.. Maybe I'm bias because I go to Orangefield, but the last interception there was HOLDING!! Next time introduce your cheerleaders before GAME TIME. This is the play-offs not cheerleader parents' night. Maybe if La Grange had the Mike instead of "Old Homer" we could have started introducing our Band members when the Bobcats took the field. I bet yall would have loved that. As for penalties not called, there were many OF personal fouls not flagged (more than one by #44) and a flagrant clip on the kickoff return after the Leps tied it up 14 all in the 4th not flagged. There was repeated holding on Lep pass rushers by the Bobcat TE and tackles not called until the last series on the 9. Yall got away with more than your share Friday night so let's not get too overwraught about that interception. And, for the record, the films show that Farias was held up inside 5 yards from scrimmage before the ball was thrown which is a legal defensive play. He was open downfield when the ball was overthrown which resulted in an interception by Gunn. I know how disappointed yall are but try not to be sore losers. eek!
