Hey all, its that time of year again. I will try to keep up with this the best I can. A lot has changed for me since doing this last year. Help along the way with this would be greatly appreciated. Please add webcasts that you are aware of. I will try to add more as they come avail. Thank you!!

This is a bit silly, as I have been told...by many including a MOD that my broadcast threads were useful and whatnot from last year and they hoped I'd do it again. All I was doing was trying to make as many game broadcasts as possible avail to football fans. .......Anyway.... Please delete this thread then.

I fully understand, and to further avoid this kind of confusion I will probably avoid making the thread from here on out. No harm, no foul, I just didn't realize the stipulations on the contract w/ KMAC. It does make perfect sense though.

Oh good grief. No one is telling you you can't post the thread! That was not the intent of my post. I like that there is one central location to find web casts, but if it's too much trouble then by all means, don't do it!

Feel free to correct me if I'm mistaken, but I don't think a link to a webcast constitutes a link to a site in competition with 3ADL.

If there is some agreement with KMAC sports that disallows links to a webcast, someone let us know.

I don't see how linking to a game broadcast is competing with 3ADL unless 3ADL plans to be at every freakin' 3A game in the state & I just don't see that happening.

Now, if the link is to another WEB SITE, that competes with 3ADL in some form or fashion and DOES NOT or WILL NOT allow a link to our board, why should we allow one to theirs?

First of all, this is my football home, I will never leave my home unless tossed, reguardless if I get a game broadcast or two from another site. I'm not giving them any money or anything. It's like eating at home and eating fast food, I may go out and get me burger, but then I'm gonna go home....same goes for the DL. I may outsource for a webcast because it may be a game that isn't on the DL that I want to hear, but that doesnt mean I'm going to abandon the DL. So...like I say...I understand it and where "they" are coming from, but I don't exactly agree w/ the logic.

But, you have to pay like $2.99 to listen to them. Would I be

Click ^^^ then click the "links" thingy on the left-hand side of the page. In the left-hand column, toward the bottom, there is a "Broadcast Links" link. When you click on it, the info gathered last season (Thx, IHS) magically appears. If additional info needs to be added, let us know. (pending approval, of course)

hey,
in an effort to try and clear things up from our end..

As far as I know, K-MAC Sports and 3ADL do NOT have any kind of contract signed...and there's no agreement, verbal or otherwise, that says folks can't post to links to online/web broadcasts..

Again, that's JUST FROM OUR (K-MAC Sports) end..

Whatever rules are in place by the Gods/Goddesses of 3ADL is a totally different beast altogether...

I got word at lunch that it is still a GO! The KMAC crew will have to set up somewhere in the visitor stands, since there seems to not be an available booth.

Unfortunately, LHPM is right.

I talked to the Giddings Superintendent. He informed me that the booth space in the Home Press Box would be occupied by 2 local radio stations; the Giddings home radio, then K-BUK out of La Grange. As I understand (and I could be wrong and would like to be corrected), K-BUK does not do PBP for Giddings for the entire season.

I reminded him that we were the OFFICIAL broadcast crew for Liberty Hill; it's always been my understanding (and been told by MANY Athletic Directors) that the usual pecking order for broadcast outlets at a stadium is (1) home team broadcast crew; (2) visiting broadcast crew; (3) any other broadcast entities. But there's nothing "written" that says it HAS TO be that way.

Not one to argue, I told our crew to be "flexible" for doing tonight's broadcast from the visitors stands. But if you know our crew, then you know they like to have F--U---N anyways!

So, I'll join the guys (Tim Dean, Greg Sariti, Ty Dean) tonight and we'll make the best of it!

I'd like to thank Rob Emmert, Prez of Liberty Hill All-Sports Booster Club, and LHPM and others for spreading the word of our predicament, and helping folks know what we're facing when we get to Giddings...

And thanks to the LHASBC for insisting on loaning us their canopy/tent, in case we get stuck in bad weather, we're "covered"..
