Rockdale vs Llano

I'm going to be a homer and pick Rockdale and I know nothing about Llano. Anyone care to fill me in on them?

They usually have some guys that hit you really, really hard. Not a whole lot of athleticism, but they play hard start to finish.

Llano is usually a very solid but rarely spectacular team that plays hard, runs the Slot-T and tries to use it to wear down and confuse enemy defenses.

From what I've seen and heard, this Llano team may be as solid as last year's 9-4 squad which went three rounds into the 3A playoffs. The problem is that their schedule and district are absolutely brutal this year so I don't expect improvement or quality to be reflected in their record, overall or in district.

The Jackets are shaping up to be a team that appears good enough to make the playoffs in many districts, but as optimistic and homerish as I want to be, I don't see them running the 8-3A gauntlet into the playoffs. My prediction is that when the season is over, Llano just might be the best 4-6 team in the state at the 3A level. I want to be more optimistic than that, but in District 8 I just don't see much call for wide-eyed optimism.

I expect Llano to be better than last year! The Rockdale / Llano game is to close to call. It will be a shoot out. I'm going with Llano.

Llano has been running the slot-t now for 3-4 years.. Getting better but still LH light..
Rockdale came on strong last season and the slot-t is no surprise to them after getting it run down thier throat the last 2 seasons.
