Lake Highlands, South Garland high school game cut short when fight breaks out

A football game between Lake Highlands and South Garland high schools ended early Friday night when at least one of the football players went into the stands to fight a bystander, Dallas police said.
The fight started at about 9 p.m. at the Wildcat-Ram stadium in the 9400 block of Church Road and caused Dallas police to end the pre-season scrimmage early.
Off-duty police officers working the game called for assistance, which arrived within 10 minutes and helped disperse the crowd, said Dallas police Sgt. M. Alex.
No one was injured and no one was arrested. Officers were not sure what started the fight.
