Seriously, I bet it was garciap77. Photography is either his hobby
or profession. Either way, he's good at it.

Those two pictures tell me alot. Both near the 50 yard line both showing the home team side. There is no place to sit on the Brownwood side however Sweetwater seems to have quite a few empty seats!

Of course I suppose it could be the 3rd quarter with Sweetwater 4 touchdowns behind.

All these years and I've never ran or heard of an 'Intertest' in the sport of football. Is this some new computerized engineered conglomeration, Garcia? If so, it is probably way over my head.   Please explain......

Thanks RWB! I'll fix that spelling right away. Normally RM catches my mistakes!:D

P.S. If it's true what nobogey72 says, does that mean you are Rocket's mother?:D ;)

If you are his mother, can you spank him for us!:p ;)

When your stadium can hold 12,000 plus, it always looks half
empty in the seats. The most packed i've ever seen it was when
we played Snyder in the playoffs back in 1990. Every seat was
occupied, fans lined the fence along the interior and the little
tiers at both endzones were full.

Don't forget the first time we played you there. It was standing room only. It's was so loud you couldn't hear the person next to you. BW's stadium is nice, but I still like the bowl better!:)

That's a good explanation SR. I'm sure things are different in S'water. No one likes to sit on the 50 yard line near the field. They're probably in the really good seats in the endzones. ;)

Bogey wouldn't say that. And no I won't spank him- if you would like it done I suggest you do that yourself (if you are in to that sort of thing).
Gosh, all that and I was just asking a little question......:p

I'm proof. My boss has season tickets that are dead on the fifty
about midway up. He gives them to me and I stand at the top
by the home concession stand. I can see the play develop better
from up there. The field has a crown. If you're sitting at the
bottom five or ten rows, you're staring at the back of the players
that are standing on the sideline.

I sat in the endzone before, during the Stevenville/ Andrews game I think. I will tell you I would have taken one of those seats as opposed to concrete...you got some strange fans;)

By the way Texas Bob says you seat 6500. 6000 more should get the Fire Marshell jumping!

I think the 6,500 is counting the number of seats in the bleachers.
I don't think it includes all the surrounding space along the fence
or the endzone area. I promise there was every bit of 12,000
at the Snyder playoff game.

I guess everyone got to know their neighbor that day! I think that the bowl is a good stadium to watch a game in and is fun for the kids, do ya'll still have the players come out thru the stands? Always thought a player might get excited and fall down the steps.

Our players walk down the steps by the scoreboard. The other
team walks down the ramp on the other end. If it's icey or
raining the other team is ushered to the first row of steps on the
visiting side and they walk down it.

The only time we walked down that ramp was the last time we played ya'll there. It was halftime and the coaches were so disgusted with the boys that they left them in the locker room. (They came down the middle of the visitor stands at the beginning of the game.)

The guys decided to punish themselves and take the ramp!!

I think they may have slacked up a little. I remember one team,
I swear I wish I could remember who, that tried to bypass the
ramp and walk down the visitors steps. Our Police Chief and
County Sheriff, along with a few uniformed police officers, met
them at the gate. I was standing right there by the interior
fence. I didn't hear what Jim Kelly told him but the HC says
"It's like that huh? Come on guys(his team) let's go!". He then
led them down the ramp. That was probably four years ago.

BTW are you questioning something I posted?

Not questioning....correcting!!:D

It was probably more than 4 years ago...when we played y'all there in 2002 or 2003, whatever year it was, we came down the stands then also!!

That's when ya'll had Coach Pursor(sp?). Him and Coach Jackson
were best buds. That made Greenwood exempt from walking
the ramp. :D

To be honest, I don't see what the problem is if the visiting team
walks down the steps by the visitor's concession stand.
