Uh oh ... some band parent will probably read me the riot act now. :D

The band is serious business Rita. Without them, well, teams may not win state titles. They might just be the runner-up instead.

Uh oh ... some band parent will probably read me the riot act now. :D No, don't know the breakdown. But the reason Cuero people sit on the visitor side, is because we fill up the home side quickly. I guess Cuero folks overflow onto the visitor's side. Plus, the fence is all lined up with people standing there watching the game, too! If you want a seat (home side) at a home game, you'd better get there between 5:30 and 6:00 (except for those with reserved seats, of course!). Our band has become very small, so recently that hasn't been what has taken up alot of room. I think it's just the overwhelming turn out of fans!!!!!!

We're at about 5,000. Maybe a little less. Plus another 1,000 line the fence and hang out at the concession stand. Lol. Middle schoolers.

Cameron holds about 5,000 but its mostly on the home side...

Gilmer's Buckeye Stadium seated about 6,000 before they added the new stands for the band. When the band moved to their new stands that freed up at least 300 to 350 seats on the home side. It looks like the home side holds a slight bit more than the visitor side, but not by much.

Was talking to my daughter (trainer for the team) about yawl's facilities in particular and she was "What"!!! I further went on to tell her what kind of atmosphere to expect being all bunched up and jam packed so she is really excited about it all now. Looking forward to it more & more myself each time it's brought up!

Pretty sure Sweetwater's is 6500. But it could honestly fit 8,000-8,500 easily if you include the concrete sides.

well, if sinton's stadium seats 3500, then the TIN CAN in orange grove seats about 2000, but I think about 1000 stand on the southwest end and talk about the weather, crops, livestock show, etc

Texas Bob has Burnet's Stadium at 4500 but they've added on since. I'd say 6200 sitting and 8000+ standing. If I'm not mistaken they had around 8800 when Shipley and McGee were playing.

Remember Burnet-Sinton in San Marcos? Almost 14,000. 6th largest crowd ever at that stadium. Buddy of mine who was at the game and played for SWTS says "DAM I never played in front a crowd this big when I was here"!! :D

The best seats at our field are on the visitors side. Home side is like being in a sardine can. Too many.

There is an aerial photo of a playoff game (dont remember which one) hanging at city hall that has the crowd estimated at somewhere between 10,000 to 12,000. All seats and concrete sections are full, and the crowd is 3 to 4 deep standing around the top. The picture was taken sometime in the late 80s or early 90s.

It was Snyder.....I think the Tigers won that game 17-3. Biggest crowd I have ever witnessed at the bowl was Stephenville - Andrews 1998.
