Jasper faced off against PN-G (4a) last night, and by all accounts they look really, really good. Jasper won the controlled scrimmage 3-1 with the only score against Jasper coming against their 2nd string. In 1 quarter of regular play Jasper won 13-0. I sure am looking forward to a great season for the dogs. I just wish I could make some of their games.:(

yup...after the way they surged late last year, I too think they will be something to see.

Way to go Jasper, I always like it when a smaller school lays the wood to a bigger school. ;)

What a game the Gilmer Jasper game might be to start the season. We should get to find out real quick about both how good they really are.

Jasper led at the end of the first half of the scrimmage 29-6. Nederland got most of their scoring against back-ups. I'd say that Coach Brooks has these kids ready to play, but we'll find out against Gilmer. The Gilmer fans say that they're young, but I bet they're good and ready. Kudos to both coaches for scheduling that game.

Minor detail, but the score was 23-6 at the half (I was there). However, even 23 points in a half on that field was impressive, it was nasty!

I don't see them doing much if they still have t-rex arms, 4'9 receivers, and RB's who run 5 flat fortys

I would like to make a correction, with constant summer practice and dedication our RB's now can run 5.3 fortys as long as there is a 10 mile tail wind:p

Seriously though, a win against Gilmer in week 0 does little for me. Don't get me wrong. I want to win, but it's nothing compared to that state championship loss.:(

I look for a good game in this one. It's hard to gauge where either team stands at this point. We'll definitely find out Thursday! I know the Buckeyes better be ready to play!
