So they stadium for both schools will have "jackrabbits" in the endzones? That is what it says in the picture, right?

Only thing I don't like is it sits above the parking lot and seeing concrete in every direction is a little weird.

Awesome field. People in our district would be sacrificing the Supt. atop the pressbox if we had built something that great with the current financial situation. I envy you.

That is a great looking facility. I especially like the fact that the seats run the length of the field.

One thing that kind of stands out to me is that the lights are angled towards the center of the field instead of being straight forward. Not that it matters, I assume that there is still enough light to see all of the track (mainly the curve) during night track meet events...

I am sure there are other stadiums that have the light turned in a little bit, I just have never really noticed.

is that a new baseball field being built behind the football stadium?

Emerson1

That has been there since they built all of the other stuff.

They still use the other one, that is just an unused backstop, there is a softball field to.

the fencing for the new baseball and softball fields was put in when the stadium was build, they saved $$ doing it all at once.

since then they have spent lots of $s on the existing baseball/softball fields, both of which are 4A-5A playoff quality. My assumption is that the fields at the HS will be practice fields only ... at least for short term.

why don't they just build a new football stadium for the new HS? "Home of the Jackrabbits" and the Flying F will have to be removed and replaced...that will cost a ton; plus it will be awkward for kids at the new HS to drive to the old HS for their games...you're just asking for property to get defaced.

That was proposed in a bond and shot down.

It would be the dumbest thing ever because you would have to make it as good as the current one or people would bitch about it. Don't think taxpayers would want to pony up another 13 million for another stadium

FISD school board heard proposals this week for future work including:

• City Bank Stadium field house addition that will include locker rooms for North Forney High School. Two locker rooms will be for 50 students and can be used for other sports.

• Change the logo and signage at City Bank Stadium to reflect both high schools.

What clasification will N. Forney be and how does that affect the Jackrabbits?

NFHS will be 4A and it will prevent FHS from going 5A.
