More or less the 4-3. They like the 4-2-5, but they were getting run over too much last year to stay in it.
This year they will be fast and stronger, with improvements in size everywhere but tackles.

Does anybody else notice the center brick in the brick wall? It looks like it has a shrunken head embedded in it.

If your front four can keep your backers clean, it will be more cheese than brick this year

The way I see it right now (that may change after scrimmage), we have:

D-Line
DE - #20 Lino Byrd (6'1" 220) Ret. Starter
DT - #67 Dominic Williams (6' 275?) Ret. Starter
DT - #78 Donovan Chambers (5'11" 290?) Platooned
DT - #79 Aleon Calhoun (6'6" 325) Platooned, national prospect at OT.
DE - ?????

Linebackers
MLB - #45 Eugene Castillo (5'8" 185) Ret. 2Y starter
OLB - #52 Deondre King (unsure) Lots of tackles in backup role last year
OLB - ?????
MLB - #22 Dexter Pratt (6'2" 225) Instantly upgrades entire D if needed

Secondary
CB - #3 Thomas Sweed (unsure, smaller) Ret. Starter
CB - #4 Brandal Jackson (6'1" 185) Ret. Starter, just as good on defense as on offense (A&M Commit)
CB - #1 Antron Harris (6'1" 180) Ret. Part Time Starter on O & D.
SS - #17 Malcolm Spriggs (unsure) Ret. Starter
FS - #12 Kye Hildreth (6'0" 170) Ret. Starter

I may have this wrong, but this would definitely be a formidable defense if they are as focused and hungry as the Coach has been shooting for since spring.

Be sure to fill up on some of that cheap Brazoria County gas first, and bring me a tank while you are at it, LOL.

Hey can you guys save me a seat for that Madisonville game?:D

Better sit on Navasota's side. Im sure Madisonville will not have a problem filling up their side. Mad/Navasota will be the last game of the season. Hopefully both teams will be playing for the district title. You may see better games between Navasota and Rockdale/Cameron Yoe.

I'm really looking foward to the start of the season and seeing if the D can improve. If the D improves, Navasota will be really tough come the fall and I can see them making a push for the championship (as long as we don't run into Liberty Hill (lol)). Hopefully, I will get a chance to see them scrimmage Groesbeck next Thursday.

Go Snakes!

Just got one of the booster posters. Calhoun is a freakin monster beside all the others! There is also a new guy (I think) beside him, #75. He is 6'3" 240 at least. Maybe the other DE????? Stay tuned...

Brandal Jackson..is this the receiver who is the big time recruit?
I've heard a lot about a receiver down in Navasota who is being recruited by D-1 schools..not sure of his name.

People are going to be wondering why Navasota people are the only ones posting at 2 in the morning. My excuse is that I slept a lot already because the baby was sleeping earlier. Gotta get it where you can, LOL. What is your reason HEMOTOXIC?
