I'm moving there today. A little south of Midtown.

Anyone got any tips for living in H-Town. Places to eat, places to go, etc?

Learn some backroads cause the traffic is a B.

Give yourself an extra half hour at the least to get anywhere.

yup....learn back roads, alternate routes, get a XM Satellite radio and keep it tuned to the Houston Traffic and weather channel in the am to avoid jams.

its best if you do not go anywhere from 5-9 AM and 4-7 PM...might want to avoid major highways from 11AM-1PM on weekdays as well...if you must go somewhere during those times then take back roads and you will save yourself hours...also watch the news or listen to the radio frequently to find out what highways will be closed for construction during the weekend, this will also save you hours...
