Got a prescription for some ear drops from cvs. The old man behind the counter said this little bottle is 117 dollars. I said I only need a 7 day supply. He said, it is... we looked and it was a 10 milliliter bottle.
(Luckily it only cost me 35 with my prescription plan)

So I did a little converting and figured that there 3785.4 milliliters per gallon divided by 10, multiplied by the 117 dollars per 10 milliliter bottle and found that the cost of a gallon of the medicine is an eye-popping $44289.18 per gallon...

The cost of medication is ridiculous!! My daughter has migraines....the Dr. give her a prescription of 10 pills to take if and when she feels one coming on......if I didn't have a prescription plan, it would cost me $297.50 for those pills.

a little off the medicine subject, but think about when you take your kids to get their eyes checked, especially if they have to get glasses........gee my oldest son's prescription goes up every year and every year the lenses go up. That goes into some major money. And now, my daughter is in glasses, too! Whoa.......if only they didn't cost so much. We have insurance, but it's not that good on the eye part. But, my kids are worth every penny!!!!!!

I get migraines/ headaches, whatever, all the time. When i feel one coming on, i just take 2 of those pills called Tylenol. They're about $5 for about 50 of em. Works just fine.:)

Then you don't have true migraines, because a whole bottle of Tylenol won't work on one.

there is no reason why medicine is that high. But pharmaceutical companies run this country through lobbying and misconstrued advertising to make people think they need the new "it" drug for whatever the new "ground breaking" illness.

I just go to Mexico and get my Rx.

We spent about 3 days in the Guadalupe a few weeks ago and the same thing happened to my daughter. Her ears were killing her and the doctor prescribed a $90 eardrops. The wife didn't like that so asked for the generic and it was like pulling teeth for the doc to change the prescription. Needless to say $10 was much better than $90. And daughter is much better thanks.
