Scrimmage went fine we won the timed quarter 3 td's to 0. I was most impressed by JaMarque the Freshman at runningback. He could be the fastest of the bunch and has better moves. After ripping of a 30+ yard TD agai nst the varsity, Charlie Waldrep looked over at me and said we need to move that kid up!

I thought in the live quarter we looked pretty good. We have lots of work todo as do most teams this early on in the year, but i think we should be pretty decent.

Good bbq. Not a bad scrimmage. One live quarter first string rang up 3 with about 7 minutes left put in the scrubs. held Love joy to almost no yardage. Not a bad scrimmage. We looked like we needed more practice.
Overall we looked faster than last year overall and the d in paricular looked quick. Actually intercepted a pitch out on one play. O looked pretty crisp for the most part.

Lovejoy ISD sort of broke off from Allen ISD a couple of years ago and is fielding their first varsity football program. They will be in 13-3A with Farmersville.

Hey, if any team has a right to claim victory over Celina it would be Daingerfield. :(

But ... then again ... I would not want to be a Daingerfield fan this go around! :eek:

He was the bad dude RB on the 8th grade team last year....when he gets used to the faster pace and size of the big boys he will be very good....his blazing speed is quite different than the basher brothers we'll play back in the backfield this year....

Jamarque looked really good sat. i hope he does come up and play on the varsity. I think really the biggest difference in this team verse the last few years is it doesnt seem that we have the depth that those teams had. I think we are smaller aswell this year vs the last few years. I believe we will be good, but how good i just dont have a clue.

Talked to a buddy of mine that saw Dfield scrimmage, said they looked pretty good. Still dont think they will come within two touchdowns of Celina when its all said and done though.
