This was asked up until the 1970s and the translation today is Are you Going to the movies?

It will always be going to the "show" to me. The last meal of the day will always be "supper" to me too. The noon meal is "dinner", but I have caught myself saying "lunch" a few times.

Before I left home for the military years ago, everything was a "Coke" to me...."hey dude...go in and get me a coke" "what kind?" "a DP". Now I call them sodas.

I eat breakfast, lunch and supper......and I still drink cokes.....what kind you ask? Diet DP of course!!:p

Same here! The only time we have "dinner" is when it's a production, like Thanksgiving, Christmas, etc.

same here - my friends from Ohio would say "after dinner, let's go to Sonic and get a pop" :D

huh? you mean after we eat supper, let's go to Sonic and get a coke.. I get it :p

Also drag main meant you were going to drive down main street to see what was going on. In my case it was about 3 blocks. :)

I specify what kind of drink I want, although I did used to call every soda a "coke"


And I eat dinner...... not supper.....

Phil, don't forget that before it was called "the show", people simply referred to movies as "talkies" for a couple of decades.
