What about La Grange? Any possibility they could move up to be a small 4A? They've been shy about 5 kids for the past few years. Anybody know what the cut off number is and how close to being a small 4A they are right now?

any help would be grateful.

Yea...lepfan there is no way yall are shy by 5 kids. Bellville is bigger than yall as dornon said and yall are in the small school playoff region so how could you think that?

Uil realignments are due out on Feb.4, I think. I saw something to that effect on the UIL website. www.uil.utexas.edu. (http://www.uil.utexas.edu.) Cutoff numbers vary from year to year. The UIL has to be concerned with a number of things including size, number of slots in a given district, distance teams have to travel, and several other factors. 30-3A Odem will almost definitely drop to 2A next year. They are well below this years cutoff numbers and it's an eight team district. Plus, there are plenty of 2A teams in the area.

I think 2A is going to be the most competitive ever. I really look forward to it.

Well I'll say that Cuero and Gonzales are on the line somewhere... We're both in the 700's... There's still a long way to go but there are kids pouring into these schools each year... This year was the biggest graduating class Cuero has had yet with 150 (or around there) but this year's freshmen class could pop out over 200 in 2005... And why Gonzales? Well, you have to remember they moved DOWN from 4A in '98 and I'm thinking they have a LOTTTT of kids coming from the Jr. High....

How about move-downs???? Vanderbilt-Industrial might move down to 2A out of dist. 29-3A... They moved up for the '98 season...
