Would he have been a starter at either school?

Maybe a starter for Sweetwater in the seventies or Snyder in the
eighties. Otherwise no chance whatsoever for either school.

He would have played. As lazy as he was, he was a naturally gifted player and made some big plays. He started for us and we had some really good receivers.

Well hell I didn't know he played WR. Coach Jackson usually has
three or four WRs run the plays to the QB. If it is going to be a
pass play those kids are on the sideline and the starting RB, FS,
and the one WR are split out wide. He would definately get to
run in the 3 down and 1 plays to the QB. :D

I wouldn't want to play for sweetwater because of the offense nor would I for snyder for the same reason.

But If I did I wouldn't ride the pine as the above poster said.

Everybody plays wide receiver in pre-game warm-ups.

I have a friend who Go Blue made a believer of when Fairfield scrimmaged Rockdale.

No, because his senior year we had an all-state receiver. Any other year, probably.

WRs are little more than messenger boys in football uniforms at Sweetwater. Surely he could have done that without screwing it up too badly. So I say yes he could have been a starter, or at least relayed messages from the coach to the QB every 2nd or 3rd play.
My daughter could have been a starting WR at Sweetwater. But I guess she would have been a messenger girl,,,,,,err,,,uh,,,I mean,, person.:D

actually, yes....being a former receiver for that team, i would know not to run a hitch or a stop or something like that if we were running the option to my side....we might not have gotten passes, but i have some great videos of some blocks i had that allowed a few TD runs:)
