T'was the night before Two-A-Days:
T'was the night before Two-A-Days
and all through the town,
the boys lay in their beds,
not one with a frown.

They said their prayers,
and thought very hard,
of running the ball,
and taking it yard.

They thought of the pass,
and how cold it would be.
They'd show those other teams,
ALREADY.

The Defense was sick,
and the offense was strong.
To those naysayers everywhere,
they'd prove them wrong.

The Mustangs were tough,
as fierce as can be.
They'd out block you, out tackle you,
and hold onto the ball better, you see.

Because a TEAM they were,
but a FAMILY they became.
And after that change,
nothing was the same.

To stop them: impossible;
To try would be in vain.
To even step on the field with them
you'd have to be mentally insane.

So step back and watch,
as they step up to the plate,
and not only defy odds,
but take it to STATE in '08.
