I had the series of ten back when I was a small child. Back then it was 1 a day for ten days arin the stomach since that was the softest area.

Since then my work requires that I have a bososter or pre exposure shot every two years.

If you have been exposed to rabies you will receive an injection near the site that you were bitten, if you were bitten. usually you will get twoo booster shots after that. the schedule is usally Day 0, Day 7, Day 14 then you are done. The needle is about the same as an insulin needle. No big deal. The vaccine isnt to thick so overall it is a pretty easy thing.

Rabies post exposure shots are 99.9% effective. I think the odds of dying or it not working are like you would win the lottery three times and struck by lighting while being attacked by a shark.
