Well, I calculated 8.4 yds an attempt. That includes passing yds. Running alone was 7.9. This from the statesman site.

Wow. Only 3 punts during district play. Exactly how many did he have for the season?

LOL! It might've been more than 3, but not many more.

Burnet - 3
Gatesville - 2
Wimberley - 3
***Taylor - 3
***Cameron Yoe - 1 (4 total for district)
-----------------------------------
Pleasanton - 2
Gilmer - 3

Looks like 17 for the year

why didn't yall use Ott more for RB....he is pretty quick

LHexPlayer

Because Ott plays defense. We usually don't run a player both ways. Lattimore was the only one that really played both ways. And that was only a few games in a pinch.

Ya'll don't play your players both ways? Good god, if we get LH in the 1st round we're toast, so many of our kids play almost the whole game we have to put their parents in by the 4th quarter.

No, we don't, except in an emergency situation or subs. Several defensive starters are 2nd string offense and will play then; offensive starters are usually 3rd string defense, so don't get to sub in for the most part. Last season, Troxell (HB) suffered a broken ankle during Cuero, so for the rest of the regular season, Lattimore & Gavin (both starting LB's) split time in his spot as well. Playoff time, Gavin was the HB only & Lattimore stayed at LB solely.

I think Allman went to Mary Hardin Baylor. Not sure though.

:p I was just going off what the Statesman showed. We know they're always 100% on the money. ;)

Yes, he'll be playing for UMHB. :)

What is the most impressive about the stats presented is that per every 9 rushing attempts the ball was in the endzone.

745 carries

82 TD

Read it again. ;) 5/carry was the lowest "over the years".

Just not sure how accurate those stats are. I know Dusty Boyd had more carries and yards that are not shown. He played a lot in the Pleasanton game for sure.
