Are you talking about mountain lions? We have them here in central texas. I have seen one as far east as Giddings.

LHexplayer is right, we hear of mountain lions/ panthers/ cougars/ pumas here in central Texas quite often. My bro-in-law said the police have seen one in Coppell which is close to the north end of the DFW airport runway. So with all the dense cover in southeast Texas, you know they at least travel thru the area.

It's crazy for sure.

I have a buddy who was doing some work on his land (Jasper) off in the woods and he claims he saw one.

I hear of all sorts of creatures returning to SE Texas. Black bears for one. Bobcats never left. And I have heard of panthers I do seem to remember. But why shouldn't all types of wildlife live in East Texas. It is a forest, with streams and food, all the things needed to live in the woods.
