When Snyder played Vernon in the qtrs and Celina in the
semis both games were 80 miles down the road from Snyder
in Abilene.

Did Snyder win a coin toss for both games or did both Vernon
and Celina agree to this being a neutral site?

I am sure this question was asked and answered last year but
I can't remember what the answer was.

If memory serves (  :crazy1: ) I think they flipped for neutral sites, and Rogers won both times. The flip that is.

I thought Snyder won the coin flip with Vernon last year and Vernon picked the site this year. I believe the Celina game, Coach Ford wanted to play on Sat. and Coach Rogers wanted to play on Friday so they decided to play on Sat. and Coach Rogers picked the site. I think that's the way it went anyway.  :vrycnfsd: :vrycnfsd:

That was correct on the Celina game. We did not want to play Friday. It was a windy day and the drive was nuts. Involuntary lane changes were the rule.

Okay so that leaves Vernon. Lubbock is 80 miles from Snyder and
alot closer to Vernon than Abilene. It being that late in the
playoffs and given where Lubbock is located geographically,
surely Lowery Field had an opening.

I know with Vernon in the past we have tried to go the route of the neutral site the only problem being scheduling which I think has been a huge problem.

Also, the Vernon coach likes to play in Sweetwater and at Lowery Field as we have had sucess at both places.

Drove into Graham last year and saw Snyder play. That running back could go! Were any D1 schools looking at him. He was a very patient runner. He waited for his blocks to open up the hole, then he changed gears. Solid player from my viewpoint. As for the flips, I just want to see two solid teams play in a stadium that will hold the crowd. It would appear that if you flip home and home, then one of the teams does not feel they can win on the road or at a neutral site. I know both schools have to agree an various site topics, but I prefer neutral sites for the later rounds.

You are refering to Will Clay. He will play for the North in Tuesday's all-state game. He signed with Sam Houston State.
