That has been 25 years? WOW! I am getting old. At the time I believed it was the funniest thing I had ever seen in professional sports

When I was growing up, George Brett was my favorite ballplayer. I convinced my Dad to get some eye-black when I was in Little League because Brett wore it during day games.

Everyone talks about this incident because it was so strange, but I equally remember the fight that Brett got into with Greg Nettles of the Yankees during Game 5 of the '77 ALCS. You rarely see fights in playoff games (unless the Yanks and Bo Sox are playing each other LOL), but especially in the deciding game of the series (the LCS was best of 5 then). Goes to show that Brett was not only intense but sometimes at the expenese of good sense.

Still probably my favorite player...
