Rockdale folks...

Does any of you good Rockdale folks know of a decent rental house or apartment in or close by Rockdale? The hotels around there are killing folks on their rates. My brother and I are working on the Sandow 5 power plant and the daily drive from Caldwell is way too long at 5:15 in the morning. Any info would be much appreciated. :)

overpriced and lacks quality.


Top places to eat in Rockdale IMO are Bandas, The Ranch, El Torrito, and Becky's Sandwiches.

Do you work there? Do they have cold cold beer?:D Coldest in town it's on ice. Most people say I don't work at all, but I seem to be there about 50 hrs a week. Are you at work now? I'm fixing to leave Sinton to head that way. My kids were in Corpus so us from the coastal bend were excused from work the last two days because of the hurricane. I won't be in until around 9. Maybe tomorrow? $1 a beer? Sweet! I'm there!:D

Wow! Times are a changing. When I was in that area. Mr. Gattis was really good, chinese food place a couple of stores down. Poor Boys BBQ. Parsleys Fried Chicken and Fajita place, Diner out on 77 next to Hotel....

I've never been to The Ranch but I've heard good things.
