From the look of it, Port Isabel is getting the southern end of the eyewall of the storm, where unfortunately, I think the worst of the weather is located.

Raymondville may actually have the north side of the eye pass right over them. :eek:

True, but based on the doppler radar images I'm seeing, the eyewall passed right over PI, with the actual eye passing just north of there about 15 miles north.

That is correct sir. The southern end is the weaker end. I don't know if that is always true but it is atleast true most of the time.
