Sherman, TX -- A couple of gas stations on Texoma Parkway in Sherman are giving customers a break when they fill up, thanks to a good ol' fashioned gas war.
The signs are easy to spot, and plenty of drivers may very well have done a double take when they saw this price posted--$3.75 a gallon. At not one station, but two! And they're right across the street.
But why was the newly opened Lucky Stop mostly empty on a Tuesday night? The demand outlasted the supply.
"We're out of gas. They were supposed to come out at 8pm and they're on the way."
Despite the late delivery of regular unleaded, customers like Tom Meade of Sherman upgraded and went for the mid-level fuel, which was also selling below the normal prices. This store opened it's doors on Monday. The prices may be temporary, nobody's saying for sure.
The station across the street took notice and lowered the prices, which made for a day that's anything but boring for the crew running the place. And it's keeping people coming back for more.
"This is my second trip. My aunt told me about it."
