It is called "The First Texan." This will be shown on a Wednesday and it will be shown twice at 9:30 A.M. and 10:35 P.M. The movie was made in 1956. This is about Sam Houston and the time is when he came to Texas in 1832 until he lead Texas to its' independence in 1836. It is a great movie of Texas history and is in beautiful color. It has a great cast which includes Joel McCrea as Sam Houston, Felicia Farr (Jack Lemmon's wife) as Katherine, Wallace Ford as her Uncle Henry, Jeff Morrow as Jim Bowie, and Jody McCrea (Joel's son) as Lt. Baker.
