Apollo 11 landed on the moon.

Not really, but I did just finish watching Apollo 13. :D

Yes guys, there are some of us oldies that actually got to see it all on the telly.

What has more dramatic effect on me is men like my grandpa who went from riding wagons and horseback as youths to seeing a man on the moon in their lifetimes. Man can you just imagine! We have come to expect great strides and are spoiled to it.

If you've never seen the miniseries "From the Earth to the Moon" I advise getting the DVD collection. One of the best miniseries I've ever seen...in fact probably THE best.

It was awesome. I was watching it with my parents and when he stepped on the moon we were all speechless for a few seconds.

I was in summer school and taking a class and before takeoff our professor Mr. Dunn brought in a tv and and we watched the takeoff. He said he did it because it was like watching Columbus when he sailed off to the new world.

I remember it.......... remember where I was and who was there.......... one of the advantages of "being old" ;)
