At 5,000. See you guys in about a week. I'm heading for Ruidoso on Wednesday, so this is a nice place to just stop and take in the scenery for a bit. I'll be thinking of you all when I'm sitting on my balcony at 8am when it's 45 degrees and my coffee is still hot.

The pose down is officially over. Trip was great other than quite a bit of rainfall Friday and Saturday. When I left Ruidoso this morning it was 52 degrees and they were evacuating 2 trailer parks (campers etc) that were in low areas due to flooding. The condo I stayed in had a creek that ran right behind it. On Thursday and Friday this creek was barely a trickle, narrow enough to be stepped acroos without any real effort. The creek swelled a bit on Saturday, and by this morning it looked like a full fledged river. Amazing how much that one little creek changed over a 48 hour period. Oh well, we are home now and it's 106 degrees outside, 54 degrees warmer than 8 am this morning in the mountains.

Did you play at the casinos?

I won about $100. My Mrs. hit a $2 boxed trifecta for $142 right away and we were able to stay on house money all weekend after that.

I never win at the Inn either. I do have some luck at the Travel Center though. I just read about the rain postponing the horse races. Joe Allen's (Abilene BBQ owner) horse was about to go for a record 17th straight win before the races were canceled.

The remnants to hurricane Dolly are wreaking havoc on that place. When we passed the track on our way out of town it looked like a lake.
