I know the big boys up front dont get much love- so I wanted to see who each of yall thought were the 5 best offensive lineman in 3a. If you could choose an offensive lineman dream team who would it be ??

Brandon Terry, Liberty Hill
Andrew Ratliff, Llano
Desmond Patton, Cuero

Unfortunately, most of the kids that I watched last season that I'd include, graduated. Maybe in a few weeks, I'll have more to add.

Aleon Calhoun, Junior Navasota. Maybe not this year, but should be a hot commodity on the recruiting scene next year.

Cole Dafft, Sr., Prosper, already has a few D1 offers, may be most underrated. And Brock Wempa, Sr., Royse City, also is pretty underrated.

I'm pretty sure I saw him at TCU camp yesterday.

I'm telling you there should be a rule on these threads to not list anyone from your own team...all it does is turn into another homer thread....LOL

Everyone just lists guys from their own team...thats real objective LOL

HEY.....I gave 3 names and only ONE was from here. :p (And you know my reasons, and it's not the "mom thing". No, really.... :D ) I doubt seriously that he's one of the top 5 in 3A, BUT I would still have him on my "dream team".

Who, in your opinion, is? And what determines "the best"? Recruiting status? Or bringing the wood every play?

Daniel Samia of Snyder is the BEST. All-state AP and TSWA last season.

Offensive or Defensive?????

If it's defensive I'm going to add the Barnes kid from Burkburnett.

To me the best is if I had to pick one guy at this level who would I pick....a guy who could play in any system....for me its Lowe from Brownwood...he's big, fast, powerful...he can run block or pass block...he can pull and he's tall enough with long enough arms to slow down a pass rusher off the edge and he's versatile enough to play guard also...Stavion Lowe is hands down the guy I'd pick if I could choose one offensive lineman in 3A....

Well if I had to choose 5

Stavion Lowe, Brownwood
Aleon Calhoun, Navasota
Blake Jordan, Graham
Michael Thompsom, Farmersville
Brandon Terry, Liberty Hill

I think I could do some damage with that OL...

Boutwell BTW would be my first choice at DE...LOL

Yeah he was good. Will would get his hand on the back of his jersey and you better have a brick wall in front or it was going long.

There is an absolute beast in Burkburnett named Lorenzo Barnes that was unblockable last year as a 295 lb sophomore. I've heard he has lost some weight and is poised to make quite a name for himself as a junior. If you want to see this monster, just go to burkpowerlft.blogspot.com. He also set a meet record at Regionals with a combined 1,710 lbs. His bench press was 450, squat was 710 and deadlifted 550. In football, he was also District Newcomer of the Year.

The Burk vs Bridgeport district opener should be a good one with the Bulls huge and athletic O-line.

I don't know who the best 3A lineman is in the state this year, but I'd have to go with the kid from Celina on their D-Line last year who signed with UNT. Seems like his name was Troy?

There is a DL in Rockdale who is getting quite a bit of recruiting attention. His name is Logan David(6'3 260 lbs) and he will be a junior. I think that is his height and weight Dogman could verify it for me.
