Im a little late jumping on board here but I made a recipe off the back of the bisquik box for a Cheeseburger pot pie. Ddnt turn out too bad at all. My kids ate a little bit of it and thats saying something because to upset their grilled cheese and hotdog diets is almost a crime in their books.

That is a good meal! Add some hamburger meat to the pinto beans and a slice of onion and you have one of my favorite meals.:inlove: I can also make a really good meal out of fresh purple hull peas, fresh new potatoes, and buttermilk biscuits. Yum!

Last night (Wednesday night) my wife fixed her homemade chicken quesadillas. They are excellent!:inlove: :inlove:

We didn't do ground meat in the beans, a big ol slab of salt pork. Ground beef was to expensive when I was in college.

Yeah, growing up we rarely had meat either, but now that I'm all grown up and can afford it I rarely have a meal without meat. A slab of salt pork will do for some added flavor though.

For breakfast, you can't beat some good ol' brown milk gravy, with or without sausage, and buttermilk biscuits.:inlove: I'm the only one in my family that can make it right every time, so guess who has to make it? My daughters think it's a real treat when Daddy makes gravy.:inlove:

Man it's good.
