View Full Version : Mock 3A 2008 Season

I'm not sure anyone else is interested.

What if we ran a mock 3A 2008 season. If a representative for each District would put out a prediction as for the W-L results then we could fill out a mock 2008 playoff bracket.

It would be interesting to see how close we come to the actual 2008 3A results.

This might put to an end the old argument, "If your opinion and speculation mattered, then they would not even need to play the games."

For example:

District 9-3A:
Week 6:
Sanger @ Celina ==> Celina wins
Gainsville @ Whitesboro ==> Whitesboro wins
Argyle @ Prosper ==> Argyle wins

Week 7:
Celina @ Prosper ==> Celina wins
Sanger @ Gainsville ==> Gainsville wins
Whitesboro @ Argyle ==> Argyle wins

Week 8:
Gainsville @ Celina ==> Celina wins
Argyle @ Sanger ==> Argyle wins
Prosper @ Whitesboro ==> Whitesboro wins

Week 9:
Celina @ Whitesboro ==> Celina wins
Gainsville @ Argyle ==> Argyle wins
Sanger @ Prosper ==> Prosper wins

Week 10:
Argyle @ Celina ==> Celina wins
Prosper @ Gainsville ==> Gainsville wins
Whitesboro @ Sanger ==> Whitesboro wins

District 9-3A Results 2008
1. Celina 5-0
2. Argyle 4-1
3. Whitesboro 3-2
4. Gainsville 2-3
5. Prosper 1-4
6. Sanger 0-5

Argyle goes to DI as district 9 rep
Celina goes DII as district 9 winner
Whitesboro goes DII as district 9 runner-up.

Icon might be needed for discussion board that links it to district pages as most posters dont realize there is district pages as they seem to log on to discussion board first instead of the home page.

Here is what we have so far. Now, I think it would be worth while to have some discussion about these, but if there is little interest in changing the district results then they can stand.

Everybody in Texas assumes that Navasota will learn to play defense this year. Yes they will score points, but can they stop anybody? They lost several key defensive kids from last year, and they weren't a strong defensive team then. I will take a "wait and see" attitude to whether they can stop the Madisonville or Caldwell rushing attacks, or Cameron's/Rockdale's ariel circus before I annoint them "Kings of 24-3A". Regular season football ain't 7 on 7. We'll see how their super stars play now that they signed early and don't have anything to prove.

Those boots have become part of regular attire here on the DL.
I'm glad other teams in our district are planning their wins over Graham. You district champions keep focusing on the playoffs and the Steers will take it one week at a time starting 09/04. I love being overlooked.:cheerl:

Well, I guess we will see who scores the most points want we? Nobody in this district will stop the Rattlers' offense. And, the Rattlers' defense wasnt that bad. Lost to Madisonville in the first game of the year 24-14. Caldwell doesnt have what they had last year to beat the Rattlers. And, don't forget that the Rattlers lead the district if not the Brazos Valley in interception last season. And you dont make it as far as you do in the playoffs without playing some form of defense. No, it isn't Liberty Hill's defense, but it was enough to beat 9 teams including Jasper after trailing 34-14 at the half to win the game 42-40. Now, that was some defensive adjustment, huh!?

I'd like to give a prediction, but there's a lot of unknowns in our District. LH would probably be the favorite. But with the new Coaching situation it's iffy. I know this is Their last shot for a few years so they better get it done. I can't wait to see the Burnet - B'wood game at the Alamo Dome. It will let me see how the Dawgs are going to look. They're still up in the air. My friends tell me that we should do well.

This is just an experiment to see how well prognostication of 3A Texas football stands up against the actual season. It would be nice if someone with a little bit of knowlege of the teams would pitch in.

I've put the games that I think will be interesting to watch in bold. I have no doubt that CS will clean house, but after that, I really think it's up for grabs as any of the next four teams could grab those last two playoff spots. Yes I know Glen Rose has a lot returning, but I still don't think they are that great. I think Gatesville, after a year playing under a new coach and in an easier district than the old 17-3A, could do very well. But all this is just speculation.

*I saw West Oso play 3 times last year. Against Port Isabel, Sinton & Ingleside. They had some talent on the field, but I'm just not sold on them. Port Isabel took them to OT, we were kicking the crap out of them in the first half and the Ingleside game was so sloppy. They had opportunity after opportunity to put them away & they couldn't get it done.

I'd love to see our boys back in the mix, but I don't know if that's gonna happen. The above is more of what I WANT to happen. ;)

I'm sure someone will come along shortly to tell me I'm dreaming or to ask how I can think "this or that" to you I say - shut up & make your own predictions!

:o I missed a whole week in our district play (thanks sotxrat) which muddles up the waters for 3rd place! :crazy1: Y'all can figure it out!

Well, fill out your district's game by game predictions and let's see how hosed Liberty Hill actually will be.

If espn1 has a different opinion, then maybe we can get a quorum to decide which one to use. ;)

How will Burnet do? That's the one that has me baffled. There are too many unknowns. Bottom line is you will soon see just how important Walker was.

I have not wanted to jump in the fray, but since lynx_rufus wanted a LH poster to step up I thought I would oblige. This is a new district and I’m not sure how good Canyon Lake or Fredericksburg will be.

The one thing I do know is LH will be strong. Many on the DL think that the Panthers won’t be able to get it done without Coach Walker. Well I think that is just wishful thinking, espn1. Don’t get me wrong I am not trying to disrespect Coach Walker at all, but I do know Coach Draper will do a damn good job filling the position and the last time I checked Coach Vance was the Head Coach. If he were to leave the impact would be much greater. Plus the Panthers are hungry to prove the last two years were no fluke.

LHPM would know the answer to that better than me but I believe Coach Vance brought him with him when he came to Liberty Hill. Again I’m not trying to take anything away from Coach Walker, but you make it sound like we can’t win without him and that is just not true. I think the biggest thing Coach Walker brought to LH was his drive in the off season. He pushed the kids to the very limit, which translates into wins during the season. Coach Walker has played a big role in LH success, but again Coach Vance runs the show and always has.

thank ya!

I think the same thing about AP EVERY year & EVERY year they let me down! I hope you're right, but if you think WE need another year, than AP needs 3 or 4 with the same HC/AD!

I was hearing alot of scuttle about your AD not being happy. Hope that doesn't spill over into your program.

p4s - if it were not for this year's senior class, i believe our ad would have been gone two years ago, this was his first attempt at this position and i think he would have learned a lot more under a different supt. than the one we have. our supt. is the real problem, this will be the last year this a.d. is at orange grove unless something strange happens and i for one do not blame him, but it will be interesting to see how he performs under a different more competent supt.

OK, district 31 has two extremely diverse opinions as to how the games play out.

sotxrat's mocking:
Final Standings:
west oso - 6-1
mathis - 6-1
orange grove - 6-1
aransas pass - 4-3
sinton - 3-4
robstown 1-6
falfurrias - 0-7

div. 1 - mathis
div. 2 - 1 - west oso
div. 2 -2 - orange grove

P4S's mocking:
Final Standings:
Sinton 7-0
Ingleside 5-2
Mathis 4-3
West Oso 4-3
Robstown 4-3
Orange Grove 3-4
Aransas Pass 1-6
Falfurrias 0-7

DI Rep - Ingleside
DII first rep - Sinton
DII second rep - Mathis

Now I am not sure about sotxrat's math skills, because they have district 31 at 26 wins and 23 losses.

But who really cares about the math. This is football mocking not rocket science!

So whose mocking do we keep? Do we have a third opinion?

Regular season football ain't 7 on 7. We'll see how their super stars play now that they signed early and don't have anything to prove.

Love you too, Hawkeye!

Seriously though, nobody is saying the Rattlers will STOP anybody's offenses, but since Coach Fedora is spending the majority of the time on defense, weight training, and endurance, I think that they will look much more consistent this year. Lots more run blitzes and gap filler plays will be a staple this year. Of course 7 on 7 is not regular season football. I think that the Rattlers will play several "good games" in district this year. But I don't think that anybody will be able to beat them in district this year regardless.

I'll take care of 19-3A since I'm familiar with those teams.

Week 1 (of district)
Mexia @ La Vega- La Vega
Robinson @ Groesbeck- Robinson
Lorena @ Connally- Connally

Week 2
Groesbeck @ Lorena- Lorena
La Vega @ Connally- La Vega
Mexia @ Robinson- Robinson

Week 3

La Vega @ Groesbeck- La Vega
Lorena @ Robinson- Robinson
Mexia @ Connally- Connally

Week 5
Groesbeck @ Mexia- Mexia
Lorena @ La Vega- La Vega
Connally @ Robinson- Robinson

Final Standings
La Vega- 5-0
Robinson- 4-1
Connally- 3-2
Lorena- 2-3
Mexia- 1-4
Groesbeck- 0-5

Division I Representative- Robinson
Division II Representative- La Vega
Division II Representative- Connally

I really see Lorena as being a potential playoff contender in this district. They have endured several years of struggle in the old 17-3A, arguably one of the best districts in the state over the past few seasons. Their experience from that will give them an advantage over Mexia and Groesbeck who were not only bad, but bad in a weak district. Lorena's junior class is loaded with athletes and they should help the Leopards push for the playoffs. The Lorena vs. Connally game in the first week of district could potentially decide the third playoff spot. Basically, don't overlook Lorena in this district.

I am just gonna say. No disrespect to anybody in district 8. But I think Wimberley will come in second, fred in third. I think Wimberley will only lose to LH. Its going to come down to who wins between Burnet and Fred, with maybe Llano upsetting one of them as well

I'm not sure I do either, especially after I saw one of the linemen today! BUT I don't have enough first-hand knowledge of Fredericksburg to pick against them. The only two places I'm fairly confident of is first and last. ;)

I beg to differ about disttrict 9! I believe Prosper will be the team to beat in that district! However, Celina could win as well, but it wll be a dog fight between Celina and Prosper! Prosper will make the playoffs! Then third place is a toss up between Argyle, Whitesboro and Gainesville. I am picking Gainesville to return to it's winning ways this season, so my picks for this district go something like this...

Week 6:
Sanger @ Celina-Celina
Gainesville @ Whitesboro-G'ville
Argyle @ Prosper-Prosper

Well, you are certainly entitled to you opinion on district 9.

Prosper could make the playoffs this season. I gave the nod to Whitesboro because they are a team on the rise and based on what I have heard, I understand they have decent talent returning. It seems like Whitesboro's coach has them hungry and ready to make history this season.

Now, since Celina has lost a lot of starters this season, I think it seemingly gives rise to the speculation that Prosper will finally get a win. But having watched Celina's 2nd and 3rd team offense work the ball up and down the field on Prosper last season, I am going to say, doubtful. You can make the longshot call, but it would be doubtful you will find much support for that.

I have never seen Celina loose to Prosper. Here is Prosper's record against Celina. 4 wins 27 losses, with those 4 wins happening in ancient history. Scoring is somewhere around 250 points for Prosper and 1300+ points against. Prosper has simply been owned by Celina.

Argyle has a good program and I would expect them to make the playoffs.

Gainsville has a new coach, and although you never know, I think you have to speculate they will not be up to snuff this season.

Sanger? Just not known as a playoff team.

There is a good team that is not going to make the playoffs this season and in my opinion it is either Whitesboro or Prosper. Whitesboro has Prosper at home and although WB has never been to the playoffs, I think this is the season.

But ... if you still want to go with Prosper over both Celina and Whitesboro I will change. Because that will bring all the Celina posters out of the wood work! :)

No, I agree with perhaps Whitesboro. Perhaps Gainesville doesnt do it. Argyle is also a tough team too, but I think Prosper will have a tremendous team returning this year and I think they run the tables this year in district. Prosper and Celina I think make the playoff's and then it is a toss up between Argyle and Whitesboro and Gainesville????? The only team I would definately rule out would be Sanger, but there are three teams that are really close with one another, but I really do think Prosper not only makes the playoff's but they win the district!

If PI couldn't beat RH with Nunez . . . how are they going to do it without him?

RH is returning 13 starters, including a high powered offense and a strong defense.

RH will claim 32-3A again this year.

Prosper gave up 63 points last year to our 1st, 2nd and 3rd team O. It could have been worse. They lose their stud TE that was their only real O threat and our O will be better as Charlie, Troy and Jose are all a year older. Our line will be bigger this year with plenty of Senior leadership. We have a true threat at WR in n a kid no one has seen yet. He has great hands and is a leaper.

Defensively, we still have the best MLB in the state in Caleb and most likely Jose will replace Danton at FS. Maybe not quite as strong without Breck and Troy on the D line but the list of replacements is long and deep. Unless you think Prosper can put up 70+ points on Celina's D I doubt they can win district.

I am not convinvced that 08 is as good overall as 07 but definately good enough to beat Prosper....again

I may be wrong, but Celina lost a ton of seniors to graduation and Prosper has a lot coming back from last year's playoff team that went 3 round deep. Prosper plays a pretty tough pre-season. Prosper's JV beat Celina's JV last year, so I am calling for an upset. However, it would not be a shocker if they lost as Celina is an excellent team as well. The 3rd place team is the one I have questions on???? Who will it be???? I know Celina will make it and I am calling for Prosper to make it, but who would the 3rd place team be????

Although there were 29 Seniors on the team only 7-8 were starters and of those many had underclassmen that could interchange with them. With the exception of Troy Franklin, Breck Holman and Danton Lynn (all on Defense) the team should be equal to or better than last year. Prosper gave up 63 points! What is going to change if our O is even stronger? Maybe a 63-35 score? Still a whippin!

Okay, I will agree that Celina could win the district. Let's say they are district champs. I think Prosper will definately be a team that makes the playoff's from this district. Who get's the third spot? Or do you think they miss the playoff's and two other teams make it in. I am open on this since I am not a subject expert in this district, but I do know that I think the Prosper team will be very good this year...

Region III D2 is gonna be rough.... AGAIN!!

:(

7 or 8 top 25 teams (depending on which poll you look at)... more than twice the average share given that there are 8 different region lineups between the 2 playoff divisions (an average of 3.1 ranked teams per region)

Gilmer (if Chapel Hill actually makes the playoffs), La Vega, Tatum, Carthage, Madisonville, Rockdale, Diboll and WOS

Gilmer will have the toughest route by far if they do end up in the D2 bracket...

2nd round - likely to be Waco La Vega
3rd round - likely to be WO-S, Madisonville or Rockdale

...and that's all BEFORE the quarterfinals

My friend i think your in for a rude awakening. My prediction is we will beat Prosper by 40 or more. We lost alot of seniors right, but we have some great players returning pluse alot of good players coming up from the jv. It is my opinion that if we can replace Troy Franklin, Breck Holman and D Anton Lynn on defense we will be stout again. I dont think our defense will be as strong this year. Instead of giving up 9 points a game it might be more like 17 point a game. On the Oside of the ball our Oline should be bigger, not as mobile as last years, but thats ok they just have to make a block because Waldrep and McCartney our freakin huge now and strong. Dont forget about Romero and Worrell, Romero is a stud to only be in the 10th grade running and catching the ball and then you have Worrell at qb. Worrell is a bit undersized, but has blazing speed and could easly run for 1000 yards while passing for the same. I believe this years team is going to be more like the old Celina teams were they are going to line up and smash you in the mouth with the run. If the leadership is there this year and it should be it always is then i expect big things from this team. There are some question marks, but we have great coaches and they wiil find the best to play even if it means playing iron man football. This years team has alot to prove and one of those things is that although we lost alot we can still get it done with new guys. I see no reason why we shouldnt compete for our 9th title.

I am not arguing that Celina could win the district. They will be a very good team even though they lost a ton of seniors. I am just saying that I think Prosper will be very good as well. I think Prosper will be one of the teams to make the playoff's. However, I really think Prosper will give Celina a game this year and an upset could be in the making. I can't say which position which team will finish in, but I believe Prosper and Celina definately make the playoff's out of this district with the 3rd and final spot going to Argyle, Whitesboro or Gainesville????? Anybody's guess at this point I suppose. I have a ton of respect for Celina and have no doubt they will be successful again this year. I am just trying to mix it up a bit and say that Prosper could challenge for the district title....

I agree with that. I am just trying to play the devil's advocate here and argue a point really. I know two of the teams that will make it out of this district, Celina and Prosper. Who will be the third team??? Celina is probably the favorite to win the district, but I am just throwing it out there that Prosper could battle for the district title I think. Just my humble opinion...I want to finish this matrix and predict a state champion in each division and see just how close we got it when the end of the season comes!

I honestly think that if the Celina coaches can find a way to replace Holman, Franklin and Lynn we are in good shape for another title run. I think that the hardest player in my opinion to replace is Holman a 5'4 180 pound defensive end that had blazing speed and hit like a Mack Truck. Lynn and Franklin will be hard to replace, but Holman helped Lynn out alot at safety with his pressure it got on the qb. If we can replace these guys with a few different players we will be tough to beat.

I will enter these into the mock-up for now.

Hopefully we will get a little more input, but if we do not, we will press on into the playoffs.

We still have 37 days before week zero and even longer before district games start. However, I would like to have this wrapped up and ready for week zero.

So far it has been cool.

I know , this is all homer picks.. but for cameron to be picked to come in 4th to 5th in this district:( ..I just don't see this happening. Rockdale has been cameron 4 times since 1990 and now all of a sudden they're better than cameron.rockdale hasn't beaten cameron back to back since mid 70's. but i due like this rockdale team.. i have to give then props over their.navasota has to come to cameron.. don't see them losing to navasota at home. this is the same rattlers team that couldn't beat a 1 man giddings TEAM with all those D1 Players.. this is the same rattlers team that cameron tied 1-1 last year in a so call scrimage.don't sleep on cameron, don't forget they was very young last year and returning some good players in their skilled position.

my homer picks :

1. Cameron
2.Rockdale
3.Madisonville

they only reason why I'm picking them to win district. their key games is at home.don't see rockdale or navasota beating them at home. i thought they was playing madisonville on the road. plus rockdale only tuff road game is at cameron. they have their key games at home. don't think cameron has lost 3 home games since the days of TODD DODGE.

Homer pick for sure. Giddings still held their own very well against WOS and LH a year before even without the one man, just didn't have that extra bit of intensity to get over the hump. I want to pick Cameron as the third place team because it is hard to pick three teams to make the playoffs in a district without mentioning the Yoemen. But I think the depth of the district will be too much for them this year. Madisonville will put up enough points and should be able to make enough stops to make the playoffs this year. Navasota will score, and the defense is THE focus of the offseason and two a days, so whether or not they are a number 2 team, saying they will sit out the playoffs this year is absurd. Rockdale looks to have a very good offense to match their solid defense, so they should battle the Rattlers for second. Cameron and Caldwell are both good teams that will have to fight hard for a playoff berth this year. Not saying it can't happen, but I don't think it is likely. Plus, depth is going to catch up to Cameron with them being one of the smallest schools in 3A. They should win easily against Rudder and Taylor, but every week will be a battle for the Yoemen this year.

i see where you're coming from. but at the same time cameron is returning key players at their position. which will make their offense alot better than last year. turnover hurt cameron last year in just about all their games. with their QB, RB and and a couple of their starting receivers returning. i don't think cameron will have a issue scoring.with those key games being at home their no way in the hell cameron will lose all three of those games at home. same as for rockdale. cameron defense may be the question mark.i think they had a first year d-fense coord. so HOPEFULLY the growing pain is over with.but this distric is is a toss up.. but i still think cameron will finished in the top two.

At least WO-S shouldn't have to face a top 5 ranked opponent until at least the 3rd round if they get the job done and win their district.... La Vega will have traversed a much tougher road than last year if a rematch with WO-S occurs this year. They will have 2 tough games before we would have to face them again.

Lynn and Franklin will be hard to replace, but Holman helped Lynn out alot at safety with his pressure it got on the qb. If we can replace these guys with a few different players we will be tough to beat.

TOP HALF

17C #8-Gilmer vs 18R #15-Carthage
19C #5-La Vega vs 20R Crockett
21C #6-WO-S vs 22R Coldspring
23C BYE vs 24R #20-Madisonville

LOWER HALF

19R Waco Connally vs 20C Palestine Westwood
21R Hamshire-Fanett vs 22C Cleveland
23R BYE vs 24C #19-Rockdale

I used the 3ADownLow official Top 25... but if you go by DCTF... you would also have Crockett ranked #12 and Diboll ranked #22

Week 7:
Palestine WW @ Athens - Palestine WW
Fairfield @ Brownsboro - Brownsboro
Palestine @ Crockett - Crockett

Week 8:
Athens @ Fairfield - Athens
Brownsboro @ Palestine - Palestine
Crockett @ Palestine WW - Palestine WW

Week 9:
Athens @ Palestine - Palestine
Crockett @ Brownsboro - Crockett
Palestine WW @ Fairfield - Palestine WW

Week 10:

Palestine @ Palestine WW - Palestine WW

Results:
Palestine WW: 4-1
Crockett: 4-1
Palestine: 3-2
Brownsboro: 3-2
Athens: 1-4
Fairfield: 0-5

Playoff Teams

Palestine - DI
Palestine WW - DII Winner
Crockett - DII Runner Up

I agree with the playoff spots, Crockett should win District, but I would switch Palestine and Westwood. I could see this district being anywhere from Crockett, Pal Westwood and Palestine all being 4-1 in district to Athens or Brownboro suprising the district and sneaking in the playoffs.

I not picking on you, but I get so tired of hearing how Giddings would have or should have beaten LH with a healthy Fitz. The bottom line is that when he went down they were getting their butts handed to them. It wasn't until he went out that Giddings started playing better football. The kid that came in to replace him played a pretty darn good game and got zero credit from the coach or his fans. Additionally, the so called cheap shot to Fitz was in fact a normal hit on a block shoulder to shoulder. If you go to You tube and search there is a video available which shows it plain as day. LH won, let it go. And LH would have killed Giddings last year.

Caremon winning this district? Cameron is good but not sure if they are better than Navasota, Rockdale, and Madisonville. It will be a great race and I look for Madisonville to battle Cameron for the final playoff spot. Yes, Navasota has to travel to Cameron. In fact, they have to travel to Rockdale too. The Rattlers played great at Bellville, La Grange, and Smithville. In the Smithville game, the Rattlers turned a close game into a 20+ point victory. Not saying that it will be easy traveling to Rockdale or Cameron but I think that the Rattlers will be more than up for the challenge.

1. Navasota/Rockdale
2. Rockdale/Madisonville
3. Madisonville/Cameron

Crap, here we go again. I said nothing about Giddings beating LH. I only said that they "held their own" without Fitz. That is a true statement. Nobody brought up a cheap shot, a what if, or anything of that nature. I think you have to let go, not me. I wasn't even at the game, and I viewed the hit on Youtube once last year and didn't see anything I would write home about. I don't care how that game turned out personally, I only presented a point about Giddings being a handicapped team that had to scrap more without Fitz. I know you started out saying you aren't picking on me, but that is how it comes across.

They'll be tough in Region 4 with I believe 13 returning starters from a 4A team.

Atlanta
Pittsburg
Madisonville
Rockdale
Devine

I meant to have Mathis beating Sinton.

I think we will loose at least a couple games at home even though we are 15-3 at home over the passed 4 years. And after a loosing to the Sinton Pirates the next weeks game will be more a heated game than usual between the Mustangs and Panthers. The talent in Sinton is just better than in AP.

Thanks for keeping me straight.:D

The big thing is if the Mustangs can reload or will we have to rebuild? The fifth year of Coach H's program will tell the story!

You would have had to seen that kid play to appreciate him. Someone from Celina help me here, wasn't he All-State the last 2 years? The way the Celina coaches played him, he was almost unblockable.

JMO but Dist 9 3A:
1st- Celina (Div 2) still the king
2nd- Whitesboro (Div 2)
3rd- Prosper (Div 1)

Argyle got rolled by Wakeland (3 scores) and Bridgeport by Prosper (3 scores) last year. I don't think Argyle is ready for the physical nature of what Celina, Whitesboro and Prosper will bring.

Just like it's hard to tackle a short person that runs low to the ground, I can see it being as hard to block a short person!

Well, I had planned to "play" until espn1 informed me that our season is pretty much hosed, so now I'm assuming a fetal position. Someone call me when November 8 gets here so I can start cheering for our basketball team. :bigcry: :helpme: :bigcry: :helpme: :bigcry:

Liberty Hill Panther Mom, it is Nov. 8, do you know where your basketball team is??

I found this today and found it kind of humorous!

Trojan and CHSCougar08, so, I guess you both had the Liberty Hill vs West game pegged in July.

Can either of you tell me where my 401K is going to be in January?

I wonder just how close we all got on the regular season predictions? I know district 13 was off by two teams. Lovejoy and Community ended up making it instead of Quilan and Emory!

agreed. La Vernia will make the playoffs along with Luling and whoever wins the Marion/Poteet game. Our one Luling poster hasn't checked in yet. I don't think Somerset will be in the mix even with 6/6 returning. Don't know much about Sam Houston, but they could throw a monkey wrench in some of these guys plans. I was wrong about Luling & Somerset, but I nailed the Marion/Poteet projection. :D

They're a basketball school (Boys and Girls are both ridiculously good most of the time). They couldn't give a flip less about football. It's all about basketball for the Hurricanes!

Well, Benny told me it was time to get busy and see how we all did. Give me a day and I will see if I can come up with something.
