How many 3A schools out there have legit sub 4.5 athletes? To define legit - run 3 40's then take the average of the 3. Send me some schools and names, so that I can find some games to travel to and watch come playoff time.

Snyder's Kenneth Turner is I believe 4.38. State champ in the 100 and 200 he can move pretty good.

With the temporary oil boom back in the north-west texas area, breck could be back in a few years. I have read D. Camps mag, but sometimes good players are left out and they sneak up on folks. Feel the need for speed - - anymore out there/

yeah. But who knows with him. If he worked hard the only thing keeping him from a D1 school would be his size

Jamal Williams was the the one I was refering to....I didn't know how fast he was until this year

We've got a pretty slow team at Madison. No 4.5's to speak of. Just a bunch of overachieving 4.8's this time around.

WC has MAYBE 2 4.7's. Nothing in the sub 4.5 range to speak of unless I'm out of the loop.

I don't believe we have EVER had a sub-4.5, at least not off the top of my head.

We had a kid a grade below me when I was in school that ran a 4.27 one year without much of a tailwind to speak of. He competed in the Junior Nationals in Seattle, and was much faster than the rest of his competition in track. But speed doesn't fix stupid.....watched him in a JV football game break around the end untouched on a sure touchdown, only to fumble the ball out of bounds thirty yards away from the nearest opponent. Attitude and lifestyle did him in before he was a senior.

We have a few 4.6 kids. Last year we had a legit 4.42, like four times in a row. He did it electronically timed at the state 7 on 7 meet, where kids walked up talking 4.4 and embarrassed themselves with 4.75 and 4.8's. Our kid did it in socks. Franklin Brown. He might be the only 4.4 we have had that I have personally witnessed in a long time though.

Fast is fast! Celina regularly plays an 11 man front. I guess if someone actually got through that defense, they could run them down. :p

:evillol: :evillol: :evillol: That's funny! A couple of years ago, there was a photo session for the yearly football section in the Austin paper. There was a kid (who shall remain nameless) talking smack to some kids from Round Rock High & RR McNeil about his own awesome 40 time. The two RR kids talked him into racing them for 40 yds.....he got smoked! :D Oh, to have been there!

Been to a few Celina playoff games. Saw a FS maybe 50% of the time. If all 11 players are within 5 yards of the offensive line, that's alot of folks in the box. Last time I saw them was in Denton and it was against Vernon, a non-throwing team. I don't remember seeing any saftey play that night. Have never seen them vs a throwing team. I am sure they adjust to who they are playing.

Actually, I was looking at the board and nobody ran a sub 4.5! The fastest was 4.55. The second fastest was 4.56 by a MLB that is 225lbs!

If Force=Mass* Acceleration, I will take our guy over any of yours!
