iPhone Update for the old iPhones....

I plugged in my phone to get the new update and let it start downloading...went back in a while later and it said it was timed out or whatever. Now I cant it to reconnect with the iTunes store to complete the update and my phone is useless. I cant make a call or anything. All the software is gone.

well...after researching for a little bit it looks like EVERYONE is having the problem. Good god....this is stupid..

mine says that my version of the iphone software is the current version, but after seeing that everyone is having problems updating maybe I should be glad I can't update

mine finally began the activation process and now on my phone it says ACTIVATION ALERT No signal detected. Signal is required to complete activation.

right after I posted that, I tried to update again and it started downloading and installed, even said iPhone activated, so I think I'm past where you got stuck, I have my fingers crossed things keep going smoothly

Just got home from work and mine updated immediately...

I went by the AT&T store here in the Rice Village in Houston at 9:30am and they were already sold out of the new 3G (the store opened at 8am)... said they'd have a new shipment in tomorrow.

With my old iPhone, my data package is 19.99 a month.....with the new one its 29.99. Thats how they are making up the difference in the price of the phone i guess. And with the new one you do not get the 200 free text's a month...you have to pay another $5 for that a month

updates you to the minute on baseball scores, and when a big play happens it makes the video available for you to watch.. The video is pretty good quality too, this will make keeping track of the Rangers while I'm working 10X better and easier
