I hope the Rangers can keep this up. For years they have had the bats, but never the pitching. I can't understand why they can't beef up their pitching staff. To me it's sad when you can score 10 to 12 runs a game like they do a lot and still lose. I sure hope they can stay solid through the season.

It seems Gerald Laird and Hank Blalock might be returning soon also.

CJ always scares me when he pitches for some reason.

Angels 11
Rangers 10 Final

Rangers had a chance to at least tie it again in the bottom of the 10th with 2 on and 1 out but couldn't get it done.

I really thought the RANGERS would tie the game in the 11th, espically with Michael Young up to bat. He hit an outside pitch to the right side but just not enough to get past Kendrick. Good comeback, just couldn't finish it.

I love the way this team plays and never gives up.

The problem, as we discussed in the other thread, is that they are doing much of this with smoke and mirrors due to that pitching staff.

The only difference (and it's a pretty big one in the scheme of things) between the Angels and the Rangers is the Angels get consistent quality starting pitching.

I can't believe K-Rod over-ran the first bunt attempt that was popped up and then threw wide of second base. I just knew the Rangers would win it after that, but K-Rod hung in there. I also figured when Kinsler came up, he'd do something positive. It was an exciting game, even though the Rangers lost.
