So, I'm watching Tin Cup and hear this phrase and a few weeks ago I was talking to someone about the ESPN guy's use of it and wondered if anyone knows who first coined the phrase?

I've looked up some stuff on the net, but no one really knows either and we all know that some of the smartest people are right HERE on 3ADL!! :D  :D

When did you first hear this phrase?

And...who doesn't love Roy McAvoy? :D

Phil C coined it when he was a little boy after the cyclist he was rooting for won the Tour de France...Old Cardinal heard it and used it a couple times at Bridge City games which then caused it to spread throughout the Golden Triangle, then to Greater Houston/New Orleans, and after that it was just a chain reaction....

Winner Winner Chicken Dinner
The legend tells that years ago every casino in Las Vegas had a three-piece chicken dinner with a potato and a veggie for $1.79. A standard bet back then was $2, hence when you won a bet you had enough for a chicken dinner. !” from the urban dictionary
