That man had a gift. I lived in SA for a while and do remember him. Saw him in person once and he was a mix of manners and balls. I thought he had a real presence but was nice as pie.

I grew up watching him on KENS. He was great! He was "the sports guy" in the area. R.I.P. Mr. Cook

I remember watching him do the news with my grandfather... when he came on I was just getting sleepy, but I'd stay up and watch him...

When he did the sports it always seemed like it wasn't an announcer talking to you, but a friend:)

RIP Mr. Cook. He was a great sportswriter. I remember really enjoying his article on requests to Santa which came out in the December 24th paper.

I've read message boards all over the internet today, some known for their negativity/morons/amateur comedians looking for shock value.

I have not read ONE negative message today concerning Mr. Cook. That is very rare these days:)

I was a big fan when I lived in S.A. He was one of the last of the old school sportswriters/sportscasters. May he rest in peace...:(
