Texas, Young number one on ESPN.com BCS bowl rankings
In looking back at 10 years of the BCS, ESPN.com compiled its Top 10 BCS bowls and its Top 10 BCS bowl performances, and The University of Texas football team and Vince Young ranked number one in each respective category.

Texas' 41-38 win over USC in the 2005 National Championship Game earned the top bowl spot, while Vince Young's performance in that game also ranked number one.

Beyond labeling the game as the best BCS bowl ever, the story takes the title a step further by describing it as the best college football game ever. It also calls Young's performance as one of the best in U.S. sports history.

The team also earned the number four bowl spot for its 38-37 win over Michigan in the 2005 Rose Bowl, while Young's performance in that game ranked third.

I have to agree what an incredible game. I was hoarse at the end of that one from yelling at the TV. What a finish!

I hear ya brother. I had no voice the next day! My son, who is as big a UT fan as the myself, went to bed thinking it was all over. My wife & I were screaming so loud.....he came running in the room thinking there was a fire.
Oh man, what a game! I'll never forget it. :)

My wife, son and I were at the Michigan game, we were sitting on the 20 yard about 25 rows from the bottom of the field where Texas kicked the game winning field goal. The fans went wild, this was our first road trip to a bowl game where Texas won. I still remember seeing my sons face when the umpire signed the field goal was good, lots of jumping, hugging and high fiving.Priceless.

I would have to agree. Great game. When Vince scored that last score I could actually see him looking and going Oh are they giving me that lane, I think I'll take it. What a run and good decisions in general.
