Awesome. They will go good but they will be overmatched when they play Argentina with Manu and Obregon there.

It looks like they're planning on using 1 post so I think I'll pick players that are more suited to international play.

CP3
Michael Redd
Tayshaun Prince
Lebron James
Chris Bosh

Interesting Lineup...I wouldn't be surprised if that's it by round-robin play ends, but I don't think it starts that way.

Who'd I'd like to see:
Deron Williams--more physical than CP3, could handle the bumping a bit better IMO
Kobe Bryant
Carmelo Anthony
Lebron James
Dwight Howard

Who I think we'll see:
Jason Kidd--will probably start this way, though I don't agree. Guy's undefeated in international play though, and if US goes to zone he won't really be a defensive liability.
Kobe Bryant--at least at the beginning. It should be a wait & see approach with him; if he stays aggressive he should play a good amount of minutes--if he lets the zone frustrate him and settle for jumpers--put Redd in immediately
Carmelo Anthony--Absolutely a killer in international play, and he's only gotten better since last time.
Lebron James--I like him bookending with 'Melo.
Howard--Freak of nature who no one will be able to handle if he can control himself defensively and stay out of cheap fouls. Bosh could deftly handle the position though.

Because he's a career 24/6ast/2stl guy, and he does his scoring by driving the lane, which is necessary for a guard in int'l play.

Just under half I think. The guy's always injured, he played through the playoffs in '06 with bad ribs (i think, it may have been the year after). 38 min a game before that though.

Big question is, which guard would you replace him with?

I'd be ok with him not being on the team, but the roster spot would have to be filled, by whom?

Chauncy Billups?
Bruce Bowen(great defense)?

Chauncy took his name out of the hat.

Bruce ruined his chances by griping that it was unfair he didn't play in worlds, basically saying if he's not good enough for that, he's not good enough for the olympics.

that sucks chauncy did...he's good all around...

Looks like a bunch of ball hogs, and a few meat grinders to me.....

They should just use the current year's allstar team roster.

Lebron James Has to have the ball 80% of the time to have his best game

Carmelo Anthony see above

Dwyane Wade see above

Kobe Bryant see above add 19%

Jason Kidd will never get the chance to pass it, cause he won't have it

Tayshaun Prince Def player, good addition to the team.

Michael Redd Good shooter, might work well for USA

Dwight Howard Uncoordinated meat grinder

Carlos Boozer Meat grinder, rebound machine

Chris Bosh Meat grinder with a decent shot

Deron Williams ?? the kid from Utah who had a couple good games?? lol kidding me

Chris Paul Biggest ball hog in the NBA, how can you expect him to excell on a team where he isn't the most skilled??

The only players from the original "Dream Teams" that performed well for the USA were the skilled players. Guys who could play Def/Pass/and always be ready to take the last shot.

also IMO he 92 dream team was good but i think they wouldn't be as good now as then because the world has caught up in basketball
