View Full Version : So I'm at the airport in Charlotte, North Carolina...

...and I'm about to board my connecting flight to Houston. I see that they are looking for volunteers. I ask them what they need and the guy at the gate says that they are overbooked and need some volunteers to take a later flight. The next flight to Houston is 6 1/2 hours away. I ask him what they are offering and he says, "A round trip ticket anywhere in the lower 48 states."

My response?

"I'm in!"

I will be flying back to school in the fall for another 1 week intensive class. This flight cost me 577.00 when I booked it back in February. I would imagine that by now it would cost more like 650 or more.

So here I am...sitting at the airport in Charlotte, North Carolina...making about 100 bucks an hour!:D :D :2thumbsup :2thumbsup

I love college baseball. *ping* I'm not gonna start numerous threads like Phil does with the Tour de France though. I started one...which reminds me...I gotta update it! :nerd: :D

I always try and leave room to bump flights...It does pay if you can be flexible!
When I was in college I had 2 friends bump flights out of NY all day...made about $1300 each in vouchers.
