The other night in chat myself and some others were talking about the best 3A stadiums in the state, and Groesbeck was mentioned, however there is not a picture of it on texasbob.com. I found one on google maps that looks pretty good for an aerial view. You might have to move around on the map a little bit, but it's there.

Groesbeck Stadium (http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&hl=en&geocode=&q=Groesbeck,TX&ie=UTF8&t=h&layer=x&ll=31.539037,-96.520611&spn=0.002697,0.005536&z=18)

It sucks for track meets when it is 100+ degrees because it sits down in a hole pretty much and the wind blows over :( Plus the old school turf is HOT also

I'd like to add that there really aren't that many seats there either, especially on the visitor's side.

Why is it considered one of the best 3a stadiums if it still have carpet turf?

I don't know that it's considered one of the best, it was just brought up the other night in chat. Someone mentioned that they couldn't see a pic of it. You can google any stadium in the state just about and get an aerial view of it.

I've heard it called the best stadium in 3a, but then again sweetwater is supposed to be awesome to.
