Dang, I knew the lakers were probably done this game. Oh well, did you see when that lady interviewed Kevin Garnett, what an idiot. He was just same stupid random stuff. I know you get wrapped up in emotion and stuff but come on. Oh, well.

Maybe all the 'bandwagon Laker fans' can shut up now. Plus, they can quit comparing Kobe to Michael Jordan!!!!!

:D :D :D

I really expected greater effort by the Lakers last night but I don't think anyone could have beaten the Celtics last night - it was just their night. KG was yelling like a nut with words James Cagney used in the movie White Heat. I don't know if he realized that Cagney was a nut in that movie and a few minutes after those words he got blown up. lol

What the heck was KG saying after the game? I had the sound down. I know he looked like he needed a straightjacket.

Lakers had a poor showing ... (glad they didn't win) BUT I can't believe the Eastern Division beat the Western Division.

It was like watching a Mavs playoff series. Superstar constantly double and triple teamed, having to force bad shots or pass to a bunch of idiots. Lots of turnovers, low shooting percentage. Kobe will get a pass though and everyone will blame his teammates.

I wonder why?

The Western Division is so much stronger that the champions were tired and beat up going into the finals with Boston.

Thank goodness for Houston and New York beating Boston in soccer and football. Boston would have been hard to live with since they won both baseball and basketball.

Phil, don't forget about Montreal eliminating Boston in the first round of the Stanley Cup playoffs this year!

 That is SO MUCH like AAA Region III Texas High School football!

The team that finally makes it out of Region III is so beaten up due to the tough competition they face that they stand no chance when they get to face the other weaker regions! :D

Just trying my best to:

1) Make this a football-related thread

2) Reiterate the point that Phil was making above. When the champion (Phil's Lakers) have to come through the tougher route to the championship (Western Conf) , they are usually so worn down that they stand no chance of winning it all. So it is with Region III in football, because we all know it IS the toughest region!
