Read on another board that Coach Maxfield will be the new HC/AD at Burleson.

wow...thank for the link Eye of the Tiger...very interesting...but like I said....he hasn't told his Forney players yet.

Wonder if Rush is frontrunner for new head coaching job. I hope so..hes a great guy! Heck, all the Forney assistants could be great head coaches!

true....but hey....now that I think about it...what about ole Brad Turner at Sulphur Springs...he's the head coach there but could be both that and athletic director at Forney. Turner was at Lone Oak for the past few years before Sulphur Springs and before Lone Oak he was the offensive coordinator at Forney! He'd have to drop a classification but Forney will be 4A sooN!

Man what a loss for Forney. I think Turner or Rush would be excellent choices.

Hey oldbuff I had forgotten all about that article. I bet you are right that he will be elated and I bet the takes credit for the coach leaving.

Nokidding....the guy who wrote that article is rediculous. From what I hear, Max has requested who he'd like his successor to be. Wonder who? Maybe Rush....don't count out the possibility of Turner from Sulphur Springs.....who knows....there are 100's of coaches in Texas that would love the Forney job!

It will be interesting to see how many applicants there are for this job. Enough to keep someone busy for a long time.

I also just heard that Commerce defensive coach, Bill Draughn, has accepted the DC position at Grand Prairie. Thats going to hurt my Tigers more than the HC turnover the last few years and maybe again next year if Cron gets one of the 4A jobs he put in for.
