Houston Astros manager Larry Dierker collapsed in the dugout during the 8th inning of a game in the Astrodome vs. San Diego due to a Grand Mal seizure.
It was also my final game to attend in the Dome, as the Astros moved to Enron,err.............Astros,err.............. Minute Maid Park the following April.
The game was suspended at that point (Astros leading 4-0) and resumed on July 23, resulting in a 4-3 Astros victory.
Dierker missed 27 games and resumed managing the team a month later. After being canned by the team in 2002, he wrote a book entitled "This Ain't Brain Surgery" which is a very good read:)
