My parents forced us to go to a Monkees concert at Six Flags once. Longest 3 hours of my life.

When I was 15 - it was 1973 - Wow - the summer of '73 - wasn't that a movie? (well 1972 close enough lol) hanging out at the swimming pool all day, "riding around", listening to 8 tracks - Deep Purple, Humble Pie, ZZ Top, BOA, BTO, ELO..............

RM might be right though, I am not sure if I'd wanna be 15 in today's society - but it sure was fun back then

That's weird, I was 15 in 1969 and there was a movie "The Summer of 69". What's REALLY weird is that the year before I was 15, I was only 14. Dam, they didn't even have 8 tracks when I was 15. And only the rich people had FM radios, the rest of us only had AM.:( But, I was so cool that it didn't matter. :D

LOL! I wasn't close to 15 at the time, but (I think) in 70 or 71 our car was in the shop and we had to get a loaner. I thought we were "up town" because it had an 8-track player. Of course the only tape that was in it was some Herb Alpert thing - maybe Greatest Hits. :nerd:

Hey don't knock "Herb Albert & Tiajuanna Brass", they had some cool stuff. "Hawaii Five-0", the song from "The Dating Game", and another song you hear HS bands play all the time but I can't remember the name but it goes a little something like this........

Randy Bachman and Burton Cummings are bad to the bone. This whole post brings back many memories. So does following George Strait thru the years.
