use the IMG tab above the post.

You need to right click on the picture you are trying to use, then copy the link under properties...you'll know you have it because the link will end in a picture format like .jpg or .png.

A signature has to be taken from the web...if it's on your computer, you need to upload it to a hosting site like photobucket or image shack.
