Small schools can "opt" to play up, but big schools cannot opt down.

As for "how" (as in "WTH?"), several of the schools had lots of kids missing due to SAT's today. But, if memory serves me right, Brady has been competitive in 7on7 over the years and qualified before and after there were divisions.

The Wood won hands down. Way to go Lions, now we will try to qualify for small school.

If I am not mistaken a small school can qualify in both but must decide which one they will go to right after they qualify for the second one. At least this is what I was told.

This is something new, we'll have to see what the state board says....it's a fluid situation.

This coming weekend Brownwood will be at Arlington Bowie and will attempt to qualify for "small school". From what I was told by one of our coaches is if we qualify for both than we choose. I know that is their understanding of it anyway.
