I just got off the phone with Matthew. He should have several scores around 12:30-1:00. I'll post them when he calls.

Is Rockdale eligible to advance out of pool play since they've already qualified for the state tournament?

I don't believe so (unless you're a school in the Dallas area that makes up your own rules  ;) ).

I know it is only 7 on 7, but that district race next fall between Rockdale, Madisonville, and Navasota should be FIERCE!!! And all the other teams in the district... LOL

The Tigers fell behind to Normangee 28-14 at the half and Normangee was on offense first but the Tigers held and was able to complete a last second pass to tie and got the extra point for a 1 point win and finished the day 3-0 in it's pool.
Normangee had a good SQT and has a very nice facility and we had a good time there. There was plenty of sun and heat, but it's Texas and June.
The pools were:
Pool A:
Normangee
Van Vleck
Fairfield
Rockdale
Pool B:
Navasota
Marlin
Hitchcock
Mexia
Johnny Utah

Kind of unique that most of the teams there are getting very good in football. Most, maybe all, of the teams are basketball powers!
