Medina Valley will now go to 4A for the next two years and have to compete with teams such as Calallen and Moody in Region 4.

Was Dodson unavailable for some reason?? I would think in a one and done that you would have your ace on the mound in this game.

that is the thing a coach in state tourney has to decide..throw #1 in semi-final, or try to get by with #2..both work, both dont, really dont think one is a better idea than the other, just have to make a decision and hope it works out

Well, if you consider their #2 and #3 pitchers average with their 8-1 records each, then.....
Dodson threw 143 pitches against Sinton in 2 games 4 days ago. That was more than likely the reason.

In tournament ball you always play to win today's game. Period. MV found out that if you don't win you don't go on. I don't care how good #2 or #3 is, they can pitch later.

As I posted on another thread, beware that number four seed. Look what the number four seed did last year.
Yes, play all out to win the first game, else there will not be a second game.

#4 seed also won in 2006 with Liberty Eylau winning over Falfurrias. The underdogs have been very tricky over the past few years in Roundrock
