Vote for your Rangers the maximum 25 times per email address and get two free tickets to any game August 15th-24th with the exception of the two Saturday games...so if you use two email addresses and vote 50 times, you'd get four free tickets!

I just voted my maximum number of times...took about 8 minutes...once you vote, it saves your info so all you have to do is type a validation code, click to switch from the AL to the NL, and click submit.

On a side note...man, is AL 1st basemen the weakest pool we've had in more than a decade or what??? Yuck! I ended up voting for Carlos Pena, although looking back, I probably should have pegged Youkilis.

no...I'm talking about the all-star ballot!

Look at the guys on the ballot for the American League:

Ross Gload, KC
Daric Barton, OAK
Kevin Millar, BAL
Richie Sexson, SEA
Ben Broussard, TEX
Carlos Guillen, DET
Justin Morneau, MIN
Kevin Youkilis, BOS
Ryan Garko, CLE
Paul Konerko CWS
Lyle Overbay, TOR
Jason Giambi, NYY
Casey Kotchman, LAA
Carlos Pena, TB

That has to be the weakest that the AL has been at the position in a decade!

All-Star ballots are set in spring training for whatever reason...I think they should wait until May to determine who gets on the ballot, especially since you can't vote then anyway.

I hate the way that clubs can kind of cheat their way into picks the way the Red Sox have the last few years...when it's in an NL park, David Ortiz gets on the ballot as a 1B, but when it's in an AL park, he's on as DH.

Then you have guys like Ben Broussard who aren't even on the team that they're representing at the position anymore.

I also don't like that every team gets a player on the roster. When
Detroit was awful Bobby Higginson was the teams representive.
He was good but not an all-star. It was just that everyone else
was horrible.

on the other hand, the NL is STACKED at 1B.

Right now, I would vote for all of the following guys ahead of anybody on the AL ballot right now:

Lance Berkman
Albert Pujols
Joey Votto
Prince Fielder
Ryan Howard
Mark Teixeira
Derek Lee
Mike Jacobs
Adrian Gonzalez

I have Howard on one of my two fantasy baseball teams. His
bat is finally waking up.

I had Travis Hafner in one...talk about a bust!

Up to four free Rangers tickets for myself...probably will go to one game and take my wife and two buddies.

 I just got an email stating that one of those addresses I used for the free tickets will be deactivated in two weeks because I haven't been a student at UNT for more than a year...

So I just signed up for another free email account and voted 25 more times...can't hurt the cause!
